Researcher at the Institute of Science Education and Communication at the University of Groningen
Dagmar Heeg is a researcher at the Institute of Science Education and Communication at the University of Groningen in the Netherlands. Her research interests are centered on the use of Artificial Intelligence in education. She strongly believes that we need to start educating everyone, and particularly young children, about Artificial Intelligence to support them in becoming responsible users of this modern technology since its applications are growing rapidly and are finding ways into our daily lives. With her research, she is examining the most meaningful and inclusive ways of doing this. She is also the project manager of the Erasmus+ project ‘Generation AI: Teaching Kids about Artificial Intelligence’, where together with partners from Greece, Cyprus, Spain, and Ireland, she is developing an e-learning platform for AI, including primary school AI curriculum, a Toolkit for teachers, and best practices (www.generation-ai.eu).
